Animal Feet

Michelle and I have started collecting animal feet for teaching/learning wildlife tracking! When I am able to look at an animal’s foot, I better understand the foot morphology and therefore I have a better grasp of what to look for in the tracks when I am tracking wildlife. Here are the feet we have so far! (on a side note, michelle has a special collections permit for Washington state that allows her to pick up these animals from certain places for scientific/educational purposes. And I know this post might make some of you want to start collecting animals/picking up road kill yourselves, but you can’t do it without a permit!)
